Mission
The mission of the Child Development Department is to assess children aged 0-18 (typically developing, those with special needs, those receiving treatment for illness, those requiring protection, those at risk for development due to biological and/or environmental factors, etc.), guided by societal needs and evidence-based practices. To identify their developmental needs and provide services to support them through holistic intervention approaches, based on professional competencies, scientific, and ethical principles. To train well-equipped and qualified child development specialists to implement these services, develop developmental assessment tools, and develop and implement projects that serve the best interests of children and families in all segments of society.
Vision
Our vision is to be a department that maintains its dynamic structure in line with the changing and developing needs of society, contributes to meeting our country's need for a qualified workforce by adhering to national and international literature in the field of child development through scientific research and practices, and by observing the concept of continuity in education, and interacts with the field of child development at regional, national and international levels.
